The famous actress Yulia Volkova was scheduled to stay in Risk City for only three days.

Apparently, it had originally been longer, but she explained that her schedule had unexpectedly changed because of Hell Service’s persistent stalking and the City Government’s seemingly hypochondriacal protection of her.

(In truth, it was less an explanation than a nervous monologue.)

Apparently, one of the City Government’s high-ranking executives was an ardent fan of Yulia Volkova, so the operation of using her as bait to lure out the black mages seemed to be little more than a pretext.

Otherwise, I couldn’t think of any particular reason for Christine, a City Government special agent, to be saddled with such an ill-fitting bodyguard assignment.

Anyway.

Since we had to compress a lengthy schedule into the short span of three days, Yulia Volkova, Christine, the other City Government agents, and I all had to stay equally busy.

Honestly, there must have been several opportunities for the black mages to target her during that time.

But even after the first day’s schedule ended, then the second day’s, and finally the last, third day began, the black mage targeting her remained nowhere to be seen.

Of course, I was the only one who knew what was really going on...
