This world has a term for the concept of corporate war.
Corporate war (Corp-war).
Its scale is far too enormous to simply call it hostile M&A activity.
Since cyberpunk corporations, which are generally run as though a few screws were loose, often operate their own armies or security forces,
they not only tried to purchase large amounts of stock without the other corporation’s consent,
but also did not hesitate to carry out terrorist acts ‘physically’ to lower the value of a rival corporation.
(They do not call it war for nothing.)
Regarding that, Michael added:
“It’s not as though there had never been a company that tried to develop and sell paper straws. However, when the company’s chairman died in ‘a certain incident,’ the plastic-straw cartel that consequently became the largest shareholder absorbed the entire process.”
