My head naturally turned to the side.

It was because I thought I heard a strange sound somewhere far outside the grocery store.

As though an aircraft flying over the old-town streets had suddenly exploded for no reason….

That kind of sound.

But no matter how far down this district was, there shouldn't have been any lunatic reckless enough to attack a megacorp's aircraft.

So I dismissed the sound as purely a trick of my imagination.
