Chapter 25: Back to Eldor

Several days passed, and when I returned to Class A for lectures, a number of things had changed.

For one thing, Eah was with me. People who hadn't paid me any attention before were comforting her, asking if she was all right, and telling me I'd done the right thing.

I'd thought the strange rumors would make it hard for Eah to make friends, but that had all been in my imagination.

And then I noticed a scene I wasn't used to.

Instead of clinging to Chris, Chloe, who was sitting beside him, was frowning at me.

It was the same expression she'd given me at the cafe.

After glaring at me, she even started nagging Chris, who was sitting beside her.

"You hopeless idiot."

Chris looked flustered, and so did I.
