Chapter 52: Edren

My heavy heart was eased a little, and after leaving Gir, we finally arrived in Edren.

As if she already knew we were coming, Mom was waving at our carriage from far away.

Her face was alight with smiles, showing just how happy she was to see us.

Mom was still adorable, calling out to us in a loud voice amplified by mana and hopping in place.

"Welcome home, my lovely children! Come here! Mom missed you so much."

At Mom's shout, I opened the window, gathered mana, and called back to her.

"I missed you too, Mom!"

Mom looked a little surprised at what I did, then kept waving with an even happier smile.

Seeing Mom always act like a child made me feel good.

Her cursing and nickname back in Deus seemed like a complete lie...
