“Major Daniel Steiner has been inside the records archive for ten hours already. I’m starting to worry. Shouldn’t we check on him?”

At the soldier’s words, Staff Sergeant Salodam shook his head.

“The major told you, didn’t he? He said he wanted to look around the records archive alone, so don’t come in under any circumstances. Don’t even think about disobeying orders. I don’t want to get killed because of you.”

“K-Killed? What do you mean?”

“This bastard really doesn’t know anything. The reason Major Daniel can roam the Security Department at will is that the corps commander personally granted him the authority. Do you understand what that means?”

In short, anyone who disobeyed Daniel Steiner’s orders here would be treated as though they had disobeyed the corps commander’s orders.

The soldier’s face went pale, and he broke into a cold sweat before suddenly snapping to attention.
