After reporting for work at General Staff Headquarters, Daniel went into the staff office to give his report on operational support and spoke with Ernst, the chief of staff.

Once the formal report was over, Ernst gave Daniel a satisfied smile and told him that, from then on, he could work in a private office.

A capable man like you has no reason to spend your days rubbing elbows with the staff-office personnel.
