Germ Theory.

In the history of the Earth I had lived on, it took quite a few detours before germ theory was accepted.

Probably because the humoral theory and the miasma theory had such strong footing.

Medical scholars who advocated germ theory were easy to be treated like heretics.

Roughly speaking, it was like being treated as someone who advocated heliocentrism in an age when geocentrism was widespread.

“Humans are creatures who can’t believe something until they see it.”

The reason is simple.

Germs can’t be seen, while bodily fluids can.
