I knew that if a paper was selected, an invitation would arrive asking the author to come present it.
Of course, my papers had their danger levels set to Level 1 and Taboo grade respectively, so a presentation was impossible.
Still, I figured they would at least send me an Upper-Rank Mage qualification.
'I heard the presentation sessions end soon too. Then mine would be....'
Even after the review period ended and the list of presenters was made public, no invitation came.
Just in case, I checked the list of those who passed, but my name wasn't there.
Only then could I accept reality...
