How to Do Bad Things

Hiding behind a wall, I cautiously poked my head out.

Inside the brightly lit guard post at the main gate, I saw two sturdy knights chatting.

‘Active-duty knights as guards… So this really is a workshop hosted directly by the Ministry of Magic.’

I had expected it to be difficult, but I had never dreamed there would be active-duty knights here.

I let out a deep sigh and hid behind the wall again.

‘What should I do?’

The building was surrounded by a wall that looked to be twice my height.

The only apparent way out was the main gate, which was guarded like an impregnable fortress from that guard post.

But if I simply hid here and waited for an opportunity, the girls in the lodging room would obviously notice that something was wrong.
