My head felt like it was splitting apart. I could barely breathe, as though a huge rock were lodged in my throat.

I struggled to lift my tightly closed eyelids, but all I could see was complete darkness.

The darkness was thick, and a heavy lethargy unpleasantly pressed down on my entire body.

I tried moving my arms, but they wouldn’t move at all, as though something invisible had bound them tightly.
