Despite the grand event known as the Succession War, ‘England Saga: Elizabeth’ continued its run without a hiatus.

It depicted Elizabeth deposing Jane Grey after just nine days and entering London in grand style alongside her sister.

Although the political situation was a little suspicious, people began reacting, ‘At last, Elizabeth’s tribulations are over!’

The novel’s prologue had shown Elizabeth being imprisoned in a tower.

People assumed it had taken place around the time of Henry VIII or Edward VI, and since it had been covered in the prologue, there was no need to repeat it in the serialized chapters.

That complacency soon crumbled.
