Usually, ants have a distinctive sour taste because of formic acid (ant acid).
However, unlike ordinary ants, termites contain almost no formic acid and therefore don't taste sour, so they are eaten as food in Southeast Asia and parts of Africa.
In other words, eating them won't cause anything bad to happen to your body.
“Y-you're really going to eat these?”
