I really had it.
I managed to grab the eel with my bare hands, but its slippery mucus made it impossible to hold on.
As expected, it wasn't easy prey.
‘Oh, so you want to see who wins?’
The eel that had escaped my grasp quickly crossed the water, its long body writhing from side to side.
Every time it repeatedly bent and straightened its entire body into an S-shape, it surged forward.
It was incredibly fast, probably because this was its home turf.
There was no way I could catch up to it with the dog paddle, so I decided to keep my eyes on the direction it was fleeing.
Then it disappeared behind a large rock...
