The place I took Min Ye-won to immediately after meeting her was a quiet Italian restaurant inside Daehyun Department Store.

It was somewhat pricey, so it wasn’t crowded, but as a fairly well-known chain restaurant, it wasn’t a bad place for a decent date meal.

At least on the surface, it gave off the strong impression that it was the kind of restaurant a man brought a woman to in order to ‘make a good impression on her.’ At the very least, that would make it a little more believable to Jo Jinhyeon that Min Ye-won and I were seriously dating.

“What do you want to order? I hear the gnocchi here is good.”

“…Gnocchi? What’s that?”

“It’s a type of pasta made into balls like dumplings and cooked with sauce. I hear it’s soft and delicious.”

“Ah, uh-huh…. But why are we here today….”

“Let’s order first. This, one salad, and… they say the arrabbiata fusilli pasta is good too. Should we get one of those?”

“O-okay….”

Min Ye-won was bewildered at being suddenly dragged into an upscale-looking restaurant, and even more flustered when she saw me ordering a meal as though we were actually on a date...
