I led Min Ye-won along a walking trail on a secluded hill behind town.

The path itself was well maintained, but it was halfway up the hill and hardly anyone came here. There was also a better-kept park at the summit, so even locals who climbed the hill rarely took this trail.

It was also a pretty good place for a young couple to enjoy some time alone together.

“What do you think? Nice, right?”

“Y-Yeah. This is my first time here. I didn’t know there was a place like this nearby….”

Min Ye-won walked beside me on our nighttime stroll, doing her best to avoid showing any displeasure as she watched my expression.

She was only acting this way because she was afraid I’d drag her to a hotel if she didn’t humor me, but still, I didn’t mind her at least pretending to enjoy herself.

Not that anyone else would be wandering around a park in such an awkward location at this hour.

It wasn’t entirely impossible that Jo Jinhyeon was hiding somewhere, keeping an eye on us…. But I never intended to go out of my way to prevent that...
