I nodded at the Hero to indicate that I did.

Earlier, I had been tormented by self-loathing—feeling guilty toward the girl named Lumia who had originally inhabited this body, yet still wanting to survive.

But I was glad that I had been able to meet Lumia face-to-face, talk things out with her, and work through our feelings.

“That’s a relief.”

The Hero smiled in relief and stroked my head.

I truly felt relieved.

If not for the Hero, I would never have been able to meet Lumia like this, and I would probably still be mired in self-loathing.
