“Should I go see the ocean?”

I could practically hear the Rooftoppers saying that since it was already vacation, obviously I shouldn’t leave the house, right?—but I ignored them.

The reason the ocean came to mind was simple.

When you go on vacation, the standard thing is to hold hands with a girl on a beach at sunset, have a beer, and get all lovey-dovey, right?

Besides, even holding hands with the women our Rooftoppers find most difficult in the world is perfectly doable alone if I just clasp my own hands together.

However.

“Hmm. Even though it’s winter, places by the sea are tourist destinations, so I imagine they’ll be crowded.”

Maybe I’ve been worn down by people too much lately, but I wanted to go somewhere quiet.

The sea sounds good, sure. But is there a beach with hardly anyone around? Unless I had enough money to play in secret on a private island like that app-whatever.
