Jin Myeong-woo felt his consciousness slowly returning and opened his eyes. The first thing he saw was an unfamiliar ceiling. Its decorations were unfamiliar, and a creeping sense of unease about where he was began to set in.

When he tried to sit up, a faint pain spread through his chest. Enduring it, he felt around his chest with one hand. A cloth bandage came into view.

He loosened the cloth a little and saw a wound from a sharp blade. It didn't look serious, but it was clearly a wound someone had treated.

'Where… am I?‘

His thoughts were in disarray. The last thing he remembered was being struck by the qi flying toward him as Wi Gwang fixed him with a cold stare. After that, he couldn't remember a thing.

He slowly looked around. The room was clean and simply furnished. A small window sat in one wall, and the faint light coming in from outside dimly illuminated the room.

He sat up and turned his head to look around the room again.

'That's right… What happened to Mother and my sister… and Master?‘

A sudden memory weighed heavily on his chest. He was worried about his mother, his sister, and his master's safety, but not even knowing where he was left him feeling helpless.
