I remembered the status announcement from earlier.

I didn't know what conditions I'd met, but it seemed I'd learned a new Skill.
Ever since my Gift evolved into the Infinite Magic Repository, one surprise after another had come my way.
"As its name suggests, 【Mana Management】 lets you put mana to use in all sorts of ways~. Take a look~."
As instructed, I checked my status—

Even after reading the description, I still didn't really get it...
"Will this make me stronger...?"
I asked MP, still unconvinced.
"Yes, exactly~. Take a look at the details~."
"Okay."

【Overview】: You can manage mana to do various things.
Lv. 1: Increase Maximum MP (NEW!)
・Acquisition Condition: Activate 【Forced Collection】 at least once.
・Effect:
・Consume your own mana or the mana in your Magic Repository to increase your maximum MP.
・For every 100 MP consumed, your maximum MP increases by 1 MP.

It looked like a Skill that could increase my maximum MP.
But even if my maximum MP increased, all that meant was that I could lend more to other people.
It wouldn't make me any stronger.
MP had said that in three weeks, I'd be able to turn the tables and defeat them, but...
"All you can do right now, Master, is lend mana and collect it. That alone won't make you stronger~. However—"
MP continued explaining.
"Mana doesn't do anything just sitting around. It's all about putting it to proper use~. By putting your mana to work, you can become as strong as you want, Master~."
"But all it does is increase my maximum MP, right?"
"That's just the first step~. As you build up a track record of putting it to use, you'll be able to do all sorts of things~."
After thinking about it for a moment, I decided to trust MP.
"I see. I'll trust what you say, MP."
"Thank you! Let's keep lending like crazy, collecting like crazy, and putting our mana to work like crazy from now on~!!"
MP raised a clenched right fist high and shouted, "Yeah!!"
MP's eyes were filled with anticipation.
"O-oh, yeah."
I felt a little embarrassed, but raised my right hand too, wanting to live up to MP's expectations.
MP seemed satisfied with that—
"Then let's dump it all in right away~!!"
I fiddled with my status and poured mana in.
My maximum MP, along with the mana I'd collected from Guy and the others.
I spent it all, leaving only a small amount behind.
Using so much mana so quickly made my head spin.
And the result was—

And so, a day that proved to be a turning point in my fate came to an end—
