This is troublesome.

It had been the same when I saved Shina before, but whenever someone's life was at stake, I tended not to think carefully about what came afterward.

If I was going to do something, I could have simply hugged Ako and run away, or shoved her aside dramatically to save her like in a comic. That would have been enough, but I had gone and shown them that I could beat down an Abyss being.

Then it could have been explained as, 'She may look slender, but she must work out really hard!' But beating an Abyss being with two kicks was beyond the level that excuse could cover, wasn't it?

Even a current martial-arts champion wouldn't be able to defeat a D-rank Abyss being, and this one was even stronger than that.

As much as Ako was the poster child for stupid magical girls, this had gone beyond the point where I could get away with, 'I actually work out really hard.'
