Say You Love Me

“This time, say you love me.”

At my command, Dan-bi’s shoulders twitched. Her eyes, clouded with pleasure just moments ago, once again filled with confusion and resistance.

Being forced to call me ‘honey’ had already been humiliating enough. Now I was asking her to confess her love, too.

“You said it just fine a moment ago. Honey.”

I grinned mischievously and whispered beside her ear. Dan-bi’s shoulders twitched. She shook her head and pressed her lips together.

“I don’t want to… I can’t do that.”

“Why not?”

“I… I’ve never said something like that before.”

Dan-bi’s voice was almost a whisper. Her expression didn’t look like she was lying. Rather, she seemed vulnerable, like someone whose precious secret had been exposed.
