Purgatory.

The inverted tower, said to have been built by some eccentric architect of antiquity.

The genius, unrecognized by the people and met only with scorn, is said to have silently carved his way underground.

Some claim that he created Purgatory as an act of revenge against the world, but no record remains of his exact motive.

The architect left behind no words about the tower.

The only thing that could be counted as such was a single word left on Purgatory's first floor.

Not even a sentence, nor something that could easily be taken to have any special meaning.

Yet there was no doubt that those two characters alone were the architect's work.

He had carved the word into a massive rock...
