I found this while looking through the setting guide today.

Spirits <- What do these guys even do?

I've unlocked various achievements and played over 30 runs, but this is genuinely my first time seeing creatures like these.

Their appearance is weird too; I've never encountered a design like this even once while playing the game.

The setting guide only says, “They are mysterious beings dwelling within nature.”...
