Your Future Is a Legendary Super Pervert
I had suddenly been invited to the home of a beautiful girl I'd only met today.
No doubt about it, this was a trap. Nothing less than a brutal, merciless massacre plan devised by Kongming.
Naturally, I tried to refuse. But shouting 'NO!' and running away without even hearing her out would probably hurt our future clan activities.
So I asked what she wanted. After thinking for a moment, she said,
'I have something I'd like to discuss with you about your future life as an adventurer.'
she replied.
When I asked whether we couldn't just discuss it at a café, she said it concerned her Gift, so she wanted to speak privately.
Faced with such a serious expression, I found it difficult to press her any further.
I had no choice but to nod at Takanashi-san's proposal.
...Absolutely not.
Woohoo! I'm overthinking this whole trap thing! At last, spring has come to my world!!
That wasn't what I had been thinking with my brain operating at maximum stupidity.
It wasn't as though her beauty and enormous breasts had slowed my brain, causing my gaze to lock onto her chest the moment I let my guard down.
No, that definitely wasn't it!
...Man, they really are huge.
* * *
Thus, guided by what I considered deep thought and keen vigilance, I followed her.
...Could I possibly be an idiot?
When we reached the front of her house, my nervousness about being in a woman's home brought me back to my senses a little.
Perhaps I should say my thoughtfulness was shallower than a puddle and my vigilance lower than that of a duckling. I reflected on this.
Still, the possibility of a honey trap seemed low.
"Um... That's a big house..."
I looked up at Takanashi-san's home before me, observing it as much as I could without being rude.
This was the countryside, so detached houses with yards weren't unusual. Even so, her house was huge.
The spotless white exterior made it look newly built. Beside the two-story house was a garage large enough to accommodate even a big vehicle with room to spare.
The yard was about the size of a basketball court. Concrete covered the driveway, while gravel filled the rest.
The grounds were spacious, but the building was just as wide. It might even qualify as a modest mansion.
This was the first I'd heard of such an impressive house in the neighborhood.
"I suppose so. To be honest, it's more than I need."
As she answered me, Takanashi-san turned her gaze toward the area above the front door.
Near the security camera, a strand of hair had been taped between the door and the wall.
...Could she be using that to check whether someone had opened the door?
She even pointed to the hair to confirm that both ends were still fixed in place. Come to think of it, she'd stared intently at her smartphone on the bus. Maybe she'd been checking her security cameras.
She certainly was a vigilant person. Considering she was beautiful and wealthy, I suppose it was only natural.
At that point, I remembered something I needed to ask her.
"Um, Takanashi-san..."
"Yes? What is it?"
She immediately turned around at my question.
I looked away from her breasts as they swayed with the motion and asked her, a cold sweat on my cheeks.
"So, um... will your family be home today?"
Someone this vigilant surely wouldn't be alone in her house with a man she'd only met today.
It would be reassuring to have her family there so I wouldn't be viewed with suspicion, but at the same time, I'd probably become even more nervous.
But then.
"No. They're all dead."
She said it so casually.
As I understood the meaning of her words, I felt the blood drain from my face.
"I-I'm sorry. That was insensitive of me."
"No, it happened many years ago. I don't mind."
Takanashi-san merely shook her head a little, as though it were nothing important.
She genuinely didn't seem bothered; her expression and gaze hadn't changed. As I inwardly breathed a sigh of relief, she moved away from the entrance.
"Before we discuss the details, there's something I'd like you to see. This way, please."
"Uh... all right."
I followed Takanashi-san as instructed.
Apparently, we were heading for the garage. I'd been surprised by the one behind Café Alf, but this one was even larger.
Takanashi-san pressed a button mounted on the garage wall. The shutter moved upward with a loud rumble.
But what did she want to show me? Since we were close in age, it probably wasn't a car or motorcycle.
She'd said it concerned adventurer activities and Gifts. Was she, like me, someone with a Gift suited to creating things?
I wondered about this as I turned my gaze toward the space beyond the shutter.
The lights seemed to turn on automatically, illuminating the garage with LEDs.
Then I saw what was inside and my eyes widened.
"Huh? Is that...?"
A gray giant with a stocky silhouette stood there. Its steel armor was covered in numerous small scratches, and its right arm was missing from the shoulder down.
There was no light in the twin cameras on its head, and it knelt with both knees on the ground, its head bowed.
There was no mistaking it. It was the humanoid robot I'd seen during last week's Skeleton spiritual disaster.
"This machine's name is Kenning. It is a mass-produced model created fifty years from now and still in use fifty years after that."
Speaking in an even tone, she walked in front of the robot.
Then she turned back toward me, her long hair swaying.
Faced with such an utterly unreal sight, all I could do was hold my breath. Since the Day of Return, the common sense I had once known had been shattered again and again, but... this was different in kind.
"Yahiro Kota-san. I have time-slipped here from a hundred years in the future."
She placed a hand against her chest and pierced me with her amethyst-like eyes.
Under that gaze, I unconsciously took one step backward.
The light in Takanashi-san's eyes was overwhelmingly intense. They shone so brightly that I felt completely cowed.
"Please lend me your strength so that we can change the future. Otherwise, you will..."
Takanashi-san stopped speaking for a moment.
In contrast to her excessively direct gaze, her lips moved with a hint of hesitation.
"───You will meet a dramatic end a few years from now."
Takanashi-san had just told me something I couldn't believe and didn't want to believe.
* * *
"Here you go."
"...Thanks."
After being told something outrageous in the garage, we were now in the living room of Takanashi-san's house.
The room had the impersonal feel of a model home, with little sign of anyone living there. She sat across a large table, looking at me.
One steaming cup of coffee had been placed in front of each of us.
Sitting opposite me, she took off her military jacket and hung it over the back of her chair. Now wearing a gray T-shirt, she somehow seemed even more endowed than before.
But I couldn't afford to pay much attention to that right now.
She had come from the future a hundred years from now? I was going to die in a few years?
It was impossible to believe. Certainly, unbelievable things had been happening in the world ever since the Day of Return. Magic existed, after all. It would be shortsighted to dismiss time travel out of hand.
But even more likely than that was that the robot was a product of her Gift and that she was an unfortunate chūnibyō with an overactive imagination.
As I sat there with confusion and suspicion tangled together inside me, Takanashi-san silently added sugar to her cup.
...Isn't that a little too much?
She poured in plenty of milk as well, then stirred it lightly with a spoon.
She took a sip of what could hardly still be called coffee and said,
"...Wonderful."
She said it with a straight face, her cheeks flushed.
I liked sweet things too, but there had to be a limit. I could practically hear sugar crunching in my mouth.
"I never imagined I'd live to enjoy coffee like this. Just that alone might make coming to this era worthwhile."
"Well... I'm glad to hear that."
It seemed overly dramatic, but it felt too silly to comment on it.
Still, whether fortunately or unfortunately, I could tell that my nervousness around women had eased.
In its place, however, my wariness toward eccentrics was rising.
"...Is it really true? That you time-slipped here from the future?"
"Yes."
Takanashi-san nodded without hesitation in response to my question.
"Even after seeing that, you still can't believe me?"
"To be honest, I don't know much about machines at all. I suspect that humanoid robot was also a product of a Gift."
I spoke my honest thoughts without trying to hide them.
But after saying that, I reconsidered, thinking that I shouldn't deny her claims too strongly.
I had no intention of taking Takanashi-san's words at face value, but we were about to work together in the same clan. It might be best to play along for now and consult Inoue-san later.
"Your point is valid. In fact, knowledge obtained through Gifts was also used to manufacture it."
"Uh-huh..."
"If you wish, I can explain it using whatever knowledge I possess."
"...No. I don't think I'd understand even if you explained it, so I'll pass."
"...I'm sorry. What do you mean by 'I'll pass'?"
"Huh?"
Worried that I had offended her, I hurriedly studied her face.
But Takanashi-san's expression was simply confused.
...Come to think of it, she hadn't seemed to understand what 'restroom' meant either.
"Um, 'I'll pass' is a softened, more polite way of saying that something isn't necessary... I suppose you could say it's a way of wrapping the word in oblaat."
"I see. Thank you. But what does 'wrapping it in oblaat' mean?"
"Oh, that's a metaphor."
"A metaphor?"
...What was I even doing?
For the next five minutes or so, I found myself engaged in a bizarre question-and-answer session.
"Thank you very much. That was educational."
"I-is that so...?"
I was strangely exhausted. Teaching someone things was difficult.
"I learned Japanese from my grandmother, but only until I was seven. After that, I studied on my own, so I cannot call myself fluent. Would you continue teaching me when you have the opportunity?"
"...Well, sure. If the opportunity arises."
Come to think of it, she'd said her whole family was dead.
There hadn't been any shoes at the entrance besides ours, and she apparently lived in this house alone.
Could that shock have driven her into the delusion that she was from the future?
"But how can I convince you that I really did time-slip here...?"
Takanashi-san folded her arms beneath her chest and knitted her brows.
Even as my gaze was drawn toward her emphasized, enormous breasts, I met her eyes.
"Um... then what about your claim that I'll die in a few years?"
"That? Yes. It is said that you died after a fierce battle while protecting an evacuation ship from Japan."
"...An evacuation ship from Japan?"
"Yes. This country will be destroyed a few years from now."
...She'd suddenly started saying some pretty ominous things.
It was true that the government couldn't keep up with the appearance of monsters and dungeons. That was precisely why adventurers existed.
But being told that Japan would be destroyed in a few years didn't feel real at all. It sounded like the sort of fearmongering statement printed on the back of a dubious magazine.
"My ancestor was on the last evacuation ship. I heard that you continued defending the port alone and saw off the departing ship."
"That's quite a story."
It sounded nothing like me.
I became an adventurer because I wanted to become someone like the protagonist of a manga. But could I really make a sacrifice that extreme?
I could more easily believe that I'd tried to board the ship and been left behind.
Before that, your heroic actions during the 'Nightmare of the Seventh Fleet' and the 'Fuji Defense Operation' made you a hero not only to the surviving Japanese, but in the United States as well.
"Uh-huh..."
Then you were gender-swapped into a woman in a social game, where your name became famous as 'Succubus,' 'Humanity's Mom,' and 'The Legendary Super Pervert.'
"Wait, what??"
I felt as though I'd just been told something outrageous.
"Um... sorry, could you repeat that?"
"You were gender-swapped into a woman in a social game, where your name became famous as 'The Legendary Super Pervert.'"
"...I see."
I decided to regard it as the ravings of an eccentric. Otherwise, my heart couldn't take it.
If what she said was true, then the future could go ahead and be destroyed.
"Here. This is what you look like as a woman."
Why are you showing me that????
She took out a device that looked like a smartphone. It was far too bulky and rugged-looking to seem like something from the future, but it displayed the image of a girl.
"Wow, sexy."
"Yes. She is very sexy. Even women had their brains fried by your charm. I was one of them."
The girl was a youthful beauty with medium-length black hair and a gentle smile. She wore golden armor over a black dress, but her chest was boldly exposed. A long, deep cleavage was fully visible.
Perhaps it was dialogue from the game, because text beside the image read, 'It's all right. I'll protect you.' It was written in a soft, fluffy font.
I'd wondered whether Takanashi-san was from 'some lewd social game,' but I never imagined I would become something like that in the future.
No way could I accept a future like that.
"I couldn't obtain one, but your figurine was called a 'succubus statue' online. Authorities took the name literally and conducted on-site investigations at the companies and factories producing it. It's practically a legend...!"
The world a hundred years from now is screwed.
