Awakening

The sound of running water came from the bathroom.

As I listened to it, I looked back on the day.

The day I spent with Hee-yeon had been the kind of ordinary date couples often went on.

We held hands and walked around the park, stopping to buy snacks whenever we saw something nearby.

When our feet began to hurt a little, we stopped by a café and chatted, then went to a coin karaoke booth and sang duets when we started to get bored.

We even stopped by a store and bought clothes after she complained about what I was wearing.

When we got hungry, we ate, went to an arcade to help digest our food, had dessert, took sticker photos, and so on.

We had really made the most of the day.
