Time rewinds a little—

“That makes nine locations...”

On our way back to City Hall, Ichinose-san and I had been setting up petrified Aka clones at various spots.

They were markers—'points'—for Momo's 'Shadow Crossing.'

We placed the petrified Aka clones while picking out places that were as inconspicuous as possible, but still seemed safe to emerge from their 'shadows.'

Incidentally, Ichinose-san picked out almost all the locations.

“I'm really good at finding routes where I can move around without being seen,” she declared proudly, saying something rather pessimistic.

Apparently, back when she was a shut-in, she'd searched all over for routes where no one would see her during the short time she spent shopping. I don't think that's anything to brag about.

“All right, Ichinose-san, could you check it for me?”
