Treant Subjugation Operation

I left the Safe Zone and walked through town.

The mayor's Town Development Skill had leveled up, restoring electricity inside the Safe Zone. It was now bright enough to walk around outside even at night.

But the moment I stepped past that boundary, the world spread out before me once more, shrouded in the darkness of night.

(I'm glad I have Night Vision...)

With Night Vision, I could see just as clearly in the darkness as I could during the day.

What came into view was the ruined cityscape, and—countless gigantic trees.

Even now that I'd evolved, the trees blended into the scenery so well that I felt I might forget they were there unless I consciously focused on them.

(That's just how troublesome these things are as monsters.)

I walked while keeping the tree monsters—Treants—firmly in my awareness.

For now, since they were tree monsters, I'd decided to call them Treants...
