Jealousy

――I made it just in time.

After checking the Party Members section, I immediately dispelled my clone and slipped into Momo's 'Shadow.'

A moment later, Peony's vines shot past the spot where I'd been, moving at incredible speed.

"Hah, hah... That was close..."

When I came back out, I was inside the 'Safe Zone.'

I sank to the ground and looked up at the sky.

If I'd been even a few moments later getting into the 'Shadow,' Peony would have caught me by now.

After devouring my enlarged clone, Peony immediately sent its vines toward me, right there at its feet. It hadn't paid me any mind while it was eating, but the moment it finished, it turned its attention to me.

(I'm starting to understand what makes Peony tick...)

To it, 'eating' was everything...
