140. Innate Talent
The enemies who approached with us as their target numbered around forty in all.
Most were beast-type monsters similar to Rune Bears, along with a few flying monsters resembling eagles.
The most notable thing was that one of the monsters was a werewolf—the same kind that had appeared as a boss on Floor 2.
I'd heard that they appeared as ordinary mobs on the upper floors, but Floor 18 wasn't exactly an upper floor, was it?
Of course, it seemed relatively weaker than the boss specimen from Floor 2, but it was still exceptionally strong for a mere mob.
The fact that creatures like that were moving intelligently as a group meant they were by no means easy opponents.
I suppose this is what makes it an Epic Quest; the difficulty is high right from the start. It was fine because my stats were far higher, though.

Once the fight was over, little Ein asked me that while looking at me. I'd subdued every monster by throwing iron balls from a distance...
