[Level Up!]
[The delivery function has been added.]
[The inventory function has been added.]
“Oh?”
I had been wandering around the Marketplace for quite a while, checking what might be worth buying.
Maybe it was the effect of consistently eating gyeongdan, but the level-up voice sounded when I least expected it.
“Legendary situation!”
I reflexively rose from my bed and cheered.
Jukkyat-hoo!
I had never suffered a loss from leveling up.
“Delivery function?”
[You can deliver items to any desired distance.]
[An additional fee will be charged based on distance.]
“What? How is this useful?”
I tilted my head as I read through the system.
So what exactly was this?
If it was delivery, I had already been making good use of the barter system.
In fact, I could send things through that without charging the other party extra, and I got to keep the fee.
But this? It was simply a matter of paying money to deliver items.
“But there’s still hope.”
The inventory function.
If you use this right, it’s downright overpowered.
I clung to my fading expectations and opened the inventory function...!
[Inventory maximum capacity: 10 kg]
“Ah.”
My expectations quickly turned into disappointment.

Chemical weapons came in a more diverse range than I had expected.
The types varied enormously: blood, choking, blister, nerve agents, and so on.
[Shop/Chemical Weapons]
[1. Mustard Gas] Purchase
It was first used by Germany during World War I.
Its chemical formula is (Cl-CH2CH2)2S.
“What the hell is (Cl-CH2CH2)2S, you otaku?”
Despite boldly declaring that I would use one, I had no idea what to choose.
The only chemical weapon I knew was the CS gas used in CBRN drills, wasn’t it?
On top of that, transportation was a second problem.
So if I bought this, how was I supposed to store it, and how was I supposed to carry it around?
If it arrived at the bunker in its original gas or liquid state, it would really be game over.
But as always, the system already knew the answer.
[Select a delivery method upon purchase.]
1. Gas
2. Shell
3. Storage container
4. Cylinder
.
.
At least, the possibility of receiving the chemical weapon in its original state and being vaporized myself was gone.
There were roughly two and a half hours left until the wave began, according to Penny.
“I’ve still got plenty of time.”
As it happened, there were several chemical weapons I had been keeping an eye on.
I was just thinking that I could find a Gallery user to deliver them and put them inside the rift when—

(Meme of various random magic beasts flooding in through the broken wall)
Fuck, this really isn't human.
- What the fuck is that?
- Magic beast sighting, Season 4,143,242.
- Ah lol, it invades right after the Black Death finally ended.
ㄴ For real lol, please have some manners.
- Hard as a rock lol
ㄴ It’s steel, so it’s even harder than rock.
ㄴ zl존폭풍법사) Fuck, if you have time to joke around, come help!
“What?”
Kellearton was under attack by a mutant magic beast.
*
A wave didn’t necessarily spit out magic beasts right on schedule at the exact appointed time.
In truth, all they could do was make their best guess based on the rift’s condition and signs.
- No, please come out together with the others.
- Don’t come out before the appointed time, lol.
- For real, this is putting us under pressure.
There were occasionally cases where some crawled out ahead of the wave.
That mutant magic beast currently smashing through Kellearton’s walls was one such case.
- Grrrroar.
The super-strong steel golem let out a roar.
At that, Kellearton’s walls came crashing down.
“Fuck!”
zl존폭풍법사, Derek, ducked to avoid the wall fragments flying at him.
He had heard a report that an ominous rift had appeared in the nearby northern plains.
But this was far too soon.
They had invaded before there was any time to prepare.
“Our attacks aren’t working!”
“We cleared out all the ordinary magic beasts, but that thing...!”
- Grrr!
The golem swung its arm, and a nearby two-story inn collapsed in a heap.
They fired hundreds of arrows, but couldn’t leave even a scratch on the golem.
The mages gathered and cast spells, but they couldn’t melt or break steel the way they could stone.
They had killed all the ordinary magic beasts that had invaded alongside the golem, but it made little difference.
The mutant golem was still rampaging through the interior without a single injury.
“If only we’d had a little more time!”
He, who was also the acting master of the Jusaek Magic Tower, lamented.
The Magic Tower was a place for researching the Head Mod’s grand magic.
If they’d invested just a little more time, they might even have been able to use an artificial life-form.
“Mage, isn’t there anything you can do?!”
Lloyd shouted as he directed the situation nearby.
At this rate, it was obvious the inside of the castle would become an utter madhouse.
While it was still at the entrance to the castle, they had to bring down that golem.
“I can hold it for a moment, but...”
“That’s enough!”
At Lloyd’s shout, Derek caught his breath for a moment and steeled his resolve.
-Clink!
Moreover, all the expensive mana stones in Derek’s hands lost their vitality and were absorbed into him.
Although he operated under a name like zl존폭풍법사, he was still a high-ranking mage.
“Now!”
-Creeeak.
The moment Derek’s eyes flew open, the steel golem rampaging around and destroying everything slowed down.
He had used the broken rubble to forcibly hold the steel golem’s feet in place.
-Graaagh!
The steel golem would obviously break free in just a few seconds from struggling.
But those few seconds were enough.
“Charge!”
Lloyd shouted, and Kellearton’s finest knights swiftly climbed onto the golem’s body.
Then they tied ropes tightly around both its arms and legs and began pulling from all directions.
“Aaargh!”
Dozens of men took hold of each rope and desperately held on until their muscles felt ready to tear.
-Boom!
The moment the golem lost its balance and fell flat on its back.
Derek climbed onto the golem’s body and fired an explosive spell into its mouth.
“Die!”
Compared to its exterior, the steel golem clearly possessed biological functions inside.
Derek unleashed a massive explosion, exhausting all his mana, aimed at the golem’s greatest weakness.

It’s not even a golem anymore lol.
The steel golem that rampaged around relying on its hide alone is down!!

- Kya~
- Wow, no way, he actually took it down lol.
- But what about the wall? It didn’t just collapse—it’s completely wide open now.
- Incoming follow-up wave, irasshaimase~
- Wow, fuck, it’s just become a ruin.
ㄴ It really just got devastated, yeah...

(Meme of the great invasion of Ellard)
(Meme of a steel golem)
The magic beasts are gradually starting to act strange.
This is reminding me of the Great War back then, fuck.
What if a wave really erupts on a massive scale this time and we all die?;
- Fuck, don’t jinx it.
- Ah, my PTSD is coming back.
- If they swarm us like they did during the old Great War, we really don’t have the strength to stop them now.
ㄴ For real. We’re all barely managing to hide and survive as it is—how are we supposed to wage a war?
ㄴ Life really isn’t easy.
Kellearton had built up an image as a knight kingdom by training knights after the steel supply began.
And when the golem actually invaded, they had even succeeded in defeating it with the insane idea of pinning it down by force and killing it.
But this was merely a warning sign.
Four steel golems still remained.
[Title: Stop, Magic Beasts!]
(Meme of a frog holding out its palm decisively)
Stop, for fuck’s sake.
- Lolol, yeah~ magic beasts don’t know anything like that.
- Magic beasts! They go wherever they want~
- Kellearton... service terminated...
The Gallery was swept up in despair even more quickly than in the joy of victory.
On top of that, the castle wall had collapsed in a heap, so although they had won, the damage was even more severe.
Besides, the steel golem was different from the magic beasts that had appeared so far.
[Title: JOAT]
(Meme of a steel golem) ← This bastard.
The other magic beasts at least had something you could eat after killing them, but this bastard doesn’t even have flesh.
So you can’t eat it, and it’s so fucking huge that it’s difficult to clean up, too.
At least it’s nice that it’s steel, but the purity isn’t even that good, so... sigh.
- In the long run, it is a profit, I suppose...
- The steel the Head Mod occasionally releases is much better and reasonably efficient, too;
- Why don’t we just use the corpse itself as the wall?
- (Meme of a knight saying, “We’re all gonna die~”)
Internally, things were already in disarray because of the Black Death,
while externally, ever-more-powerful mutant magic beasts kept attempting invasions.
It was a difficulty level so absurd that even a StarCraft custom map made this way would get nothing but complaints before being taken down.
But at least there was one saving grace: it was the host’s cheat map.
“I’ve figured it out.”
I had finally realized what the inventory and delivery functions were for.
[Opening the inventory.]
[WARNING! VX GAS] - 10 kg in storage
The chemical weapon I had purchased and stored in the inventory: the nerve agent VX.
It was even more notorious than sarin gas, the chemical weapon commonly known as a killing gas,
a crazily toxic gas that could kill in an instant through mere skin contact or inhalation.
That chemical weapon was being stored in the inventory completely intact.
“Normally, I never would have even considered using it...”
In truth, even handing someone a gun makes me uneasy if it disappears after just one shot.
Bluntly put, it’s because I’d be anxious not knowing when or where it might be pointed at me.
Needless to say, chemical weapons were out of the question.
But through the delivery function I had obtained by leveling up, and the rift, I realized something.
I had obtained an endless testing ground that I could experience from home with a single click.
“Click, carry.”
[Delivering 10 kg of VX GAS.]
[Delivery destination – Kellearton Northern Plains Rift.]
[Something is already occupying the delivery location! Would you still like to deliver it?]
“Of course.”
[Delivery completed safely!]
With a single button press, all the VX gas in the inventory simply vanished.
“Did that do it?”
At first, there was no major change.
I couldn’t observe what lay beyond the rift in the first place.
I waited quietly until the wave was due, and soon the rift began to open. But then—
[Title: What the fuck is this, seriously???]
(Meme of a rift twisting strangely)
(Meme of magic beasts screaming, shoving one another, and emerging as if fleeing)
- ?
- What the—no, what is this?
- Why do they look like that?
- It looks like they’re fleeing hell as if trying to survive.
The impact was greater than I had expected.
