Though they were enemies, the Dark Elves were not the sort to pick a fight with a battered Subterranean.

The Dark Elves went to mourn their fallen comrades, while I, Knock-san, and the Subterranean Centurion dealt with the Subterraneans who had arrived. Kimidorigorn-san came along too, since they had nowhere else to go.

"Well, I'll be... Is that a Forest Eater!? You guys took it down!?"

When one of the Subterraneans exclaimed in surprise, Knock-san said proudly,

"The leader we worship defeated it."

He puffed out his chest.

They had seen as far as the moment Asha's ultimate magic went off, but then the spell blew them away, so they hadn't seen what followed. Well, since there wasn't much point in my butting in, I had left it at that.

"More importantly, what happened to you? Don't tell me... did the Early Summer Birds head your way and cause this damage?"

"Centurion, listen up. The birds did come, sure, but most of them got eaten."

According to them, a giant lizard called Hito Mane had appeared and was eating the Early Summer Birds...
