Hitomane was aptly named: my 【All Creation】 clearly saw through its face and recognized that it was a "pattern of skin."

There was only moonlight, and Hitomane was leaning out over the cliff, casting itself in shadow and making it difficult to see. Even so, the information I could make out led me to conclude that Hitomane was a reptile.

The obvious difference from Earth's reptiles, however, was that the "mouth," which should have been a "pattern of skin," was capable of eating prey.

It was too dark to see clearly, but there seemed to be a hole resembling a "nose" between the "eyes" and the "mouth." In reality, it was an "anus."

In other words, Hitomane was a monster like an upside-down lizard.

(Why would it do that...?)

Whether its tail was short or had been severed, there was none atop its "head," and it must have been using its hind legs to catch prey and carry it to its "mouth."

Its real face should have been touching the ground along with its forelegs.

While I found myself admiring the extraordinary neck and foreleg muscles needed to support such an enormous body, I was unsure what I should do.

The Forest Eater I had seen above the Leff Magic Empire, beyond the crack in the red sky, had been an object of awe powerful enough to make my hair stand on end...
