“Flying, huh?”
After briefly adjusting to this strange change, Mo Xi turned her attention to Mercy.
As a basic skill of the Angel class, it could both heal and deal damage. Most importantly, the damage was true damage.
Since none of her other skills could be upgraded, Mo Xi could only pour a large amount of resources into this one to increase her combat strength.
As her Paradise Coins dwindled, Mo Xi could feel the energy within her growing stronger. Unlike allocating points or unlocking skills, this improvement was subtle and gradual.
A moment later, Mo Xi stepped out of the upgrade pod, and her skill stats had improved considerably.
Class: Angel (Unique)
[Due to the class's traits, the contractor will be forcibly transformed into a woman.]
Skill One: Mercy Lv. 4
Cost: Once Mercy is activated, it consumes 8 Mana per minute.
Effect: The contractor can freely select a target and trigger either the Healing or Judgment effect. Healing restores 37 HP to the target per second, while Judgment deals 19 points of true damage to the target per second.
Skill Two: Breath of Life (Passive)
Effect: Whenever crafting, enchanting, or performing similar actions, there is a fixed 33% chance to trigger Breath of Life. When triggered, it grants the item one Sublimation effect.
Skill Three: Soul Wings (Partially Unlocked)
Cooldown: 10 hours
Effect: After a brief charge, fly at high speed in a specified direction for 30 seconds. While flying, gain a shield equal to 1.5 times your maximum HP.
(Note: This skill is not yet in its complete form. Contractor, please work hard to improve your attributes.)
Skill Four: Locked. Unlocking requires 1 Medium Soul Crystal and 20,000 Paradise Coins.
If Mo Xi's combat strength had been 1 before, it was now at least 8. The stat allocation and upgrade to Mercy were crucial; there was a pure beauty to the numbers.
As for Soul Wings?
At the moment, Mo Xi could only think of using them to escape. The cooldown was long and the duration short, so the shield was the only real advantage...
“I don't have enough resources right now to raise my Potioncraft much. I might as well head to the Trade Market and sell some things.” Mo Xi rubbed her chin as she thought.
Thanks to her mistress's generous support, Mo Xi's Potioncraft had reached LV6 by the time she left the world.
Since Mo Xi wanted to finish upgrading all at once in the upgrade pod, she brewed some more potions after opening the chest. Her Potioncraft was now LV7.
If Mo Xi was right, reaching LV10 in Potioncraft would unlock another formula.
With that thought, Mo Xi quickened her pace toward the Trade Market.
A moment later, at the Trade Market.
Watching people come and go, Mo Xi suddenly felt as if this were her first time here.
Before, Mo Xi had spent most of her time trapped at that beginner stall, never once looking at the Trade Market from her current perspective.
“It's pretty lively.” After watching for a while, Mo Xi nodded.
Her beginner stall experience card had expired, so Mo Xi would have to rent a stall with Paradise Coins if she wanted one. But on the bright side, she could choose her own stall now.
Realizing this, Mo Xi began studying the layout of the Trade Market.
First, she couldn't rent a stall near the Equipment Enhancement Hall. The people coming from there were all gamblers who liked enhancing equipment. Saying they were completely broke would be an exaggeration, but they definitely didn't have much money.
Second, she couldn't rent one near the Arena, either. Supposedly, that place was full of battle maniacs. They were generous when buying equipment, but most of them weren't easy to deal with.
Finally, and the area Mo Xi liked best, was the section near the Training Grounds.
Contractors coming from that area were generally well-off and had a clear understanding of their own abilities. In other words, they bought things rationally: if they could afford it, they bought it; if not, they let it go.
With that in mind, Mo Xi hurried into the Trade Market and began choosing a stall she liked.
A moment later, Mo Xi looked at Stall No. 325, which was neither in a corner nor in the center and was also close to the Training Grounds. She immediately rented it without hesitation.
This time, Mo Xi wasn't renting a stall just to sell things temporarily. She planned to settle in one place for as long as possible and build up a loyal customer base.
Someone might ask whether Mo Xi's current Potioncraft skills could really attract contractors to buy from her.
Mo Xi's answer was: no.
With Potioncraft at LV7, she could only achieve a decent success rate when making low-level potions. Among apothecaries as a whole, her skill was barely enough to break even.
But what if Mo Xi could reliably produce potions that permanently increased attributes?
Yes, Mo Xi had already discovered how terrifying her Breath of Life passive was.
She found that whenever the Sublimation effect triggered, the potion she made would improve by an entire quality grade, and there was a very high chance it would permanently increase an attribute.
Mo Xi had suspected as much when she made the Life Potion, and after crafting the Fire Resistance Potion, she was certain.
“Fire Resistance Potion”
Quality: Green (Sublimated)
Origin: Fantasy Paradise—Angela
Rating: 30
Effect: Permanently increases Fire Resistance by 2 points.
(Note: The permanent increase from this formula can only take effect once per person and has no effect on Fire Resistance of 30 or higher.)
Description: A masterpiece beyond perfection!
Price: 1,999 Paradise Coins
As a Sublimated version of the Fireproof Potion, a Potioncraft LV5 formula, the Fire Resistance Potion could permanently increase the user's Fire Resistance.
Although it wasn't as direct as the Life Potion's increase to Vitality, the Fire Resistance Potion proved Mo Xi's theory.
It was worth mentioning that when Mo Xi made this potion, she discovered she could change its origin, description, and price.
Don't underestimate the power this gave her. Just being able to change its origin meant she could add “Angela” after Fantasy Paradise to build a reputation. It would be incredibly easy for her to pull off all kinds of schemes later.
Without thinking further, Mo Xi put all the potions she had brewed on her stall, arranging them from lowest to highest quality. She placed the Recovery Potions at the bottom and the Fire Resistance Potion at the top.
“It's a shame I only made two Life Potions this time. One was a thank-you gift, and I drank the other myself. Now I can only use the Fire Resistance Potion as my showcase product.” Mo Xi thought to herself.
After arranging the potions, Mo Xi paused for a moment. After some thought, she took “The Butler's Necklace” out of her storage space and placed it on the stall.
[The Butler's Necklace]
Quality: Green
Origin: Tiny Nightmare
Durability: 30/30
Rating: 21
Effect—Sorrow: Dark damage +10%
Equipment requirement: Intelligence 8 or higher
Description: How tragic, how heartbreaking. When the attack that symbolizes judgment comes, will you doubt everything you trust?
Price: 2,100 Paradise Coins
This necklace was equipment dropped after the butler died. If she found a contractor with suitable attributes, she could sell it for a lot.
