As the sounds of energy gathering rang out one after another, shimmering spikes of light condensed on either side of Mo Xi.

Before, Mo Xi wouldn’t even have dreamed of pulling off something like this. But now, with her techniques, she could accomplish things that had once seemed impossible.

Mo Xi pointed at the bandit, and with a thought, five or six spikes of light shot toward him at incredible speed. The bandit froze, having never seen such extraordinary power before.

Just as the bandit was about to be riddled with spikes, they all stopped in midair before him. The nearest one was less than a centimeter from his eyeball.

Cold sweat poured down the bandit’s face. Trembling, he took a pouch of copper coins from his clothes and tossed it to the ground, then raised his hands and begged, “S-spare my life...!”

A moment later, stripped down to nothing but his underwear, the bandit obediently crouched with his hands over his head. The girl stared in shock, her mouth hanging open, as Mo Xi tore apart the bandit’s gear.

In truth, Mo Xi was extracting the silver threads from the bandit’s equipment. What were a few scraps of cloth worth? The silver threads, clearly useful materials, were the valuable part.
