Songtan removed his hand from the *radial artery* of the corpse and examined the face once more.
*It's not suicide.*
When someone determined to die ingests poison, the flow of the toxic energy usually appears somewhat different. The poison, having traveled down the esophagus, spreads in a nearly circular pattern. While pain is felt, the body's resistance is relatively low. This phenomenon occurs because the person has accepted death.
In contrast, this corpse exhibited the exact opposite pattern. Outwardly, it appeared peaceful, as if the person had died in their sleep, but internally, it was not so. The poison had not spread throughout the body; instead, there were traces of it abruptly stopping in specific areas. This was a phenomenon caused by the body unconsciously resisting the unexpected poison. Traces of twisted meridians and torn *qi* and blood were also visible. This was proof that the body had struggled desperately to survive.
If so, the answer narrowed down to one of two possibilities: Someone secretly mixed the pesticide, and the victim drank it unknowingly, suffering the consequences. Or, someone forced the victim to swallow the pesticide.
Songtan's sharp gaze swept through every corner of the house. Just then, Yoo Gyeong-ho, who had finished his radio call, urgently called out to Songtan.
First, take pictures everywhere. I'll go look for any *CCTV* around.
"Yes, Senior Officer."
Songtan nodded and picked up his phone. He then re-examined the crime *Field* through the camera lens instead of his eyes.
There were no signs of a struggle anywhere. The shoes in the shoe rack were neatly arranged, and there was no trace of dirt or dust...
