Side Story 111: The Queen Arrives (1)

Queen Sapia-sama of Tzanadefor is coming to Rudek for a visit.

Her visit will also serve official purposes. She plans to discuss the export of Tutu and take a vacation in Rudek while she is here.

The king assigned us to serve as her hosts. Since the twins who get along well with the queen are with me, I think it was a sensible arrangement.

So, to welcome the queen, we are now heading straight north. Hock-san has agreed to show her around Northern Rudek this time, so we will take over the assignment around the old Lifrea border.

As for the itinerary, we will spend one night at the royal retreat newly built at the Lake of the Three Goddesses. After that, we will head for my Stein territory, tour Rudek's Tutu production, and then proceed to the capital, Rudektrad. Depending on the schedule, we may even go as far as Gederland.

Rufa, who was speaking to Prince Zelando beside me, looked to be in exceptionally high spirits.

The area around the Lake of the Three Goddesses had originally flourished as a tourist destination, but since it lay on the border with Lifrea, it was not a suitable location for the royal family to build anything particularly grand.

They had apparently also decided that there was no need to bring royal splendor to a resort for commoners.

Thus, the area around the Lake of the Three Goddesses had little more than a scattering of villas belonging to nearby nobles, along with inns and eateries for travelers...
