“Even so, I have no intention of meekly putting up with it. This is war. It isn’t a territorial dispute. Besides, the justification is on our side. And their forces have been weakened. Including those killed in the Arhan Kingdom, they’ve lost no fewer than fifteen men. Fifteen Sword Masters are dead.”

“Hmm!”

Stephen’s pupils widened.

He realized that he had been so shocked by the enemy’s strength that he had not considered their losses at all.

“Of course, secretly preparing forces of that caliber means they must have considerable reserves as well. But our forces are nothing to scoff at either.”

“That’s right.”

Lloyd’s gaze turned to Jade.

Though he had left out the details, Stephen understood immediately.

“I also don’t think we need to show weakness from the outset. If we cower after taking a single hit, they’ll only look down on us more. As His Highness the Crown Prince said, the justification is on our side. And Your Highness has a reliable ally, does he not?”
