Back at My Parents’ Home After So Long

After spending the next few days at the orphanage, today was the day I was supposed to go from there to my parents’ home.

Just a few days at the orphanage had been enough for me to grow attached to the children. I was especially fond of the little ones I’d played with.

When everyone heard I was leaving today, they came to see me off outside the orphanage.

“Leon-kun, you’re welcome to come back anytime.”

“Yes, thank you. I’ll be sure to visit again. I hired a few children from the orphanage, so I thought I’d bring them along when they come back to visit their old home.”

“I’ll look forward to it.”

As Asia-san and I talked, the children came over to me, as if they couldn’t hold back any longer.

“Leon, are you going home?”

“Yeah. I’ll definitely come back again.”

“When? Tomorrow?”...
