Testing Magic (1)

I’d been enjoying myself since coming back to my parents’ home, relaxing, playing with Marie and the others, and visiting food stalls. But it was about time I got to the things I needed to do, so today I decided to go to the forest alone.

I planned to go deep into the forest, somewhere no one would come, and test my magic. I wanted to see whether I could put living creatures in my Item Box, and test my teleportation magic.

Until now, I hadn’t had many chances to be alone, so I’d only been able to do the bare minimum of testing.

"I'm heading out for a bit!"

"Big Brother, where are you going?"

I said that while peeking into the kitchen from the counter. Marie seemed to be in there, too, and she asked, sounding a little worried.

Marie seemed happy that I’d come home after so long, and wanted to spend even more time with me than before. She seemed a little anxious that I might leave again.
