Heading to the City Center

A few weeks later.

I spent a fulfilling vacation, visiting Marcel-san's workshop, playing with Marie, Nicolas, and Luke, and training in the forest.

Because I never forgot to create iron every night before bed, my magic reserves had grown quite a bit again.

At one point, I wondered if I could create things besides iron, so I tried making some other materials. First, I tried magic stones and magic iron, but it wasn't a matter of lacking enough magic; they simply couldn't be created. Then I tried other ores, like diamonds, and those were possible.

But making even a diamond smaller than a grain of rice drained all my magic. I figured iron would be more useful later, so I ended up sticking to iron.

After enjoying such a fulfilling vacation, today was finally the day I had to return to the city center. I had lots to do once I got back, so I really needed to leave soon. I'd planned to go back a little earlier, but kept telling myself, "Maybe I can stay a little longer..." and putting it off until today.

I had tea parties planned with Martine and the others, and I still needed to get the employee dormitory ready. Yeah, I really did need to go back.

I'd told everyone yesterday that I was leaving today, but ever since then, Marie had been in a bad mood.

I was really happy that she was sad to see me go, but... it made me not want to leave! Just seeing Marie's sad face made me put off leaving for another day!

But I really couldn't delay any longer. With a heavy heart, I got ready to leave...
