A First Visit to the Central District

A few days later, on Earthday.

Today was the day my whole family was coming to the central district. I’d never missed an afternoon class at the Royal Academy before, but today I’d skipped it to meet them at the plaza by the entrance to the central district.

Instead of heading straight to the ducal residence, they were going to meet me at the plaza, tour the central district, and then go to the residence.

It was their first time in the central district, after all. I had to make sure they enjoyed themselves!

That was why I was so excited today. I’d planned everything out by yesterday: first, after we met up, we’d go to a stylish cafe for lunch. Then we’d visit a clothing store and buy everyone clothes to wear at the ducal residence. They didn’t need to be too extravagant, but I wanted to get them something nicer than what I’d bought for the staff.

After that, we’d tour the market, and finally I’d show them my shop. I’d let them try the sponge cake, too.

I was so excited. I was supposed to be the one making sure everyone had fun, but maybe I was the most excited of all. As I waited for the carriage, thinking about that, I spotted a simple but sturdy carriage approaching in the distance.

That must be it! I rode in that carriage all the time, so I could recognize the ducal family’s discreet carriage at a glance.

"Leon-sama, I understand that you’re excited, but it’s dangerous to lean so far out."
