Guilds are one of the main attractions of 〈Dan-Katsu〉.
〈Dan-Katsu〉 has an enormous variety of Jobs. You start the game as a lone protagonist, scout members to build a party, then recruit more people to form a guild, raise its rank, recruit even more members, and take on higher-ranked dungeons.
That’s the story—or rather, the progression.
Guild ranks start at F and go all the way up to S.
Forming a guild comes with various benefits, and there are many events, quests, and raid battles that only guilds can participate in.
In fact, from the midgame onward, having a guild is practically a prerequisite, so you can’t progress unless you’ve raised multiple characters.
When I first started playing 〈Dan-Katsu〉, I focused on leveling up a five-person party, and that came back to bite me: I got stuck midway through and couldn’t progress.
〈Dan-Katsu〉 is designed so that you can’t clear it without help from a wide variety of Jobs.
Even from the developers’ perspective, after preparing all these Jobs, it would be ridiculous if players only used five of them. This was definitely their way of saying, “Use more Jobs!”
