The Weight of Words

The day after Monica and Cyrus were assigned to investigate the red dragon in Dalsmore, they were introduced to the Dragon Knight who would serve as their guide.

“Well, hello there!”

The man who waved with one hand and greeted them in a friendly manner wore a Dragon Knights uniform and was of average height and build.

With his messy black hair, unshaven stubble, and rather tired-looking face, he could have been in his thirties or his forties.

“I’m Robson, of the Seventh Investigation Team. If you need anything, just let me know.”

Monica had always imagined the Dragon Knights as a group of loud, burly men, but Robson wasn’t intimidating at all.

If anything, Cyrus, standing beside Monica, was far more imposing and intimidating.

As Monica wondered whether he really seemed like a Dragon Knight, Robson looked up at Cyrus and gave a lopsided grin.

“By the way, is this gentleman… um, the Silent Witch-sama’s father?”
