The Dragon's Side, the Human's Side

After asking Robson to check for sightings of the young dragon, Monica and Cyrus continued deeper into the forest with the red dragon disguised as a tanuki.

The sky was still cloudy, but the rain had stopped completely.

Cyrus walked at the head of the group, holding the magic tool with the young dragon’s scale set inside. He looked up at the sky and furrowed his brow.

“Now that the rain’s stopped, the kid might’ve moved. Hey, how far can it fly?”

“Well, it might still have trouble flying higher than the trees in this forest. It’s still a hatchling and can’t breathe fire yet.”

“Then it probably won’t fly a long distance.”

In a forest full of trees that got in the way, it seemed faster to travel on foot than by flying.

Cyrus checked the sun’s position, then stopped and looked at Monica.

“Big Sis, it’s about noon. Let’s take a break.”

“O-oh, all right...”...
