Chapter 41
Frieda Blanke (20)
The Margrave of Valmvelk's younger sister. Her specialties are cleaning, bookkeeping, swordsmanship, and horseback riding.
A big shot who, in a single day, pulled off the triple mission of carrying someone princess-style, pinning someone against a wall, and kissing the back of a hand.
Henrik Blanke (26)
The Margrave of Valmvelk. He is a lanky, refined pretty boy, but one of the Empire's finest swordsmen.
Ray Albright (23)
One of the Seven Sages: the 〈Abyssal Curse Mage〉.
His hobby is writing poetry.
Monica Everett (19)
One of the Seven Sages: the 〈Silent Witch〉.
She can understand advanced mathematics, but still hasn't figured out romantic feelings.
She believes this incident raised her villainess level. It probably hasn't.
Raul Roseberg (21)
One of the Seven Sages: the 〈Thorn Witch〉.
He knows how to grow vegetables, but not how to cultivate romantic feelings.
"I got chewed out big-time by Sis for taking the dress without permission!"
Louis Miller (29)
One of the Seven Sages: the 〈Barrier Mage〉.
He had stubbornly refused to be called an old man, but when his wife asked, "Don't you dislike the idea of me becoming an old woman?" he immediately changed his tune and replied, "How happy I am to be able to grow older together with you."
Bradford Firestone (47)
One of the Seven Sages: the 〈Cannonball Mage〉.
An old man who tends to find romance wherever he goes on dragon-slaying expeditions. He's rough-looking, but popular with the ladies.
He was a rowdy troublemaker from way back, but once Louis, his worthy rival, became one of the Seven Sages, it only fueled his battle mania.
Mary Harvey (Age Unknown)
One of the Seven Sages: the 〈Star-Seer Witch〉.
She refuses to compromise when it comes to putting beautiful boys in short pants.
"If Ray-chan were about fifteen years younger, I would have prepared some short pants for him, too~"
Gideon Rutherford (74)
The 〈Violet Smoke Mage〉. A professor at Minerva, Monica's mentor, and Louis's master.
His trademark features are bushy eyebrows and a kiseru pipe.
Curtis Ashley (23)
Cyril and Claudia's cousin. If Cyril had not been adopted, he might have become the marquess.
"Whew, I'm glad Cyril was adopted! Being a marquess would be too much for me! I just want to live a carefree life, taking it easy and playing around! Hahahaha!"
He's that sort of person, but his younger brother looks up to him.
Adeline Albright (75)
Ray's grandmother. The second 〈Abyssal Curse Mage〉.
A yokai hag whose lifespan grows longer whenever she harasses people.
She weighs about as much as ten wooden crates packed tight with apples.
Mick Henning (29)
A servant of House Albright.
He doesn't want to do more work than his pay warrants, and he's the type who wants to finish work on time.
House Albright is an employee-friendly, no-overtime workplace, so he likes it very much.
Glen Dudley (19)
A novice mage who recently passed the beginner mage exam.
He had failed the written exam twice in a row, but Isaac tutored him, and he finally passed. The chairman's a great teacher! He's amazing!
Isaac Walker (22)
When he suggested an alliance with Valmvelk to Bridget, she said, "My, Your Highness, you are certainly devoted to your work."
Cyril Ashley (20)
The sight of Frieda heroically carrying Monica princess-style made him involuntarily look at his own slender arms. He was crushed.
