Vol. 9 Ch. 8: Here You Go, the Flight Magic You Like (While Tossing You Out the Window)

After the play ended, Felix headed backstage and spoke at length with the person in charge, his expression grim. He was probably questioning them about the accident that had occurred onstage.

Monica had no idea why Eliane had attacked Glenn, but concluded that Eliane had nothing to do with any assassin targeting Felix and left.

A yellow bird that had descended from the sky landed on Monica's shoulder. It was Rin, who had been watching from atop a tree.

"Thank you for your hard work putting out the fire."

"Um... You noticed...?"

"Yes. I wondered whether I should lend you my assistance, but I am somewhat ill-suited to bringing matters to a peaceful conclusion."

Given Rin's dynamic landing methods with flight magic and all of Rin's past antics, it had probably been the right decision not to ask Rin for help.

More than anything, with Felix seated beside her, Monica could not give Rin verbal instructions.

Since they could not coordinate, Monica could settle things more peacefully by acting alone.

"While 〈Silent Witch〉-dono was putting out the fires, I kept watch to see whether anyone might take advantage of the commotion to harm the Second Prince, but I saw no one behaving suspiciously."...
