The Adults Go to Bed First

At last, a peaceful night all to ourselves—just Kara and me, the two of us—had finally arrived in Room 201 of Building 2 in the married couples’ dormitory.

“Phew... It’s finally quiet.”

I loosened my neck and stepped into the bedroom.

Only the warm orange glow of the lights softly illuminated the room.

Kara had already washed up and was reclining languidly against the plush headboard, dressed in comfortable, roomy pajamas made of soft cotton.

“Come here, honey.”

Kara patted the empty space beside her on the bed and called me over.

I smiled and settled down near her feet.

Then I picked up the bottle of special herbal massage oil from the Academy greenhouse that Professor Medison had given us as a gift. It was sitting on the table.
