The Princess Is Frustrated, and So Is the Varg Couple Watching Her

When we arrived in front of Room 201, we ran into a middle-aged man loitering by the door.

He had tousled hair and a pair of research goggles perched on his head. He was Daidalos, the resident of Room 101 on the first floor and a professor in the Magitech Department.

“Oh? Professor Daidalos! Good afternoon.”

Violetta was the first to recognize him, and she bowed politely in greeting.

Professor Daidalos came from a prestigious count’s family in the eastern part of the Empire.

He’d visited the Duchy of Chariot several times when he was young, so he and Violetta were already acquainted.

“Well, well! Who’s this? What brings a fussy little young lady from a ducal house to this shabby faculty residence?”

Professor Daidalos greeted Violetta with a hearty laugh, clearly glad to see her.

Then he held out the empty airtight container he was carrying to Varg.

“Student Varg, that meat was absolutely fantastic. I was so absorbed in my research that I nearly skipped a meal, but that smoky aroma made my dying brain cells feel like they’d woken right up. I was just about to return the empty container.”...
