Talking with Mabel

──Thor's Perspective──

Mabel was waiting for me in the room.

She was sitting in a chair by the window, gazing absently outside until I returned.

The two cups she had placed on the table were probably just part of her usual habit.

No steam was rising from the teapot. It had gone cold.

Mabel must have gone back to her room and prepared the tea right away.

I understood how she felt, in a way.

When you're shaken, doing the same things you usually do can calm you down.

"Sorry to keep you waiting, Mabel."
